Perodua’s latest variant, the Perodua ALZA M2 Edition, will open for booking at all Perodua sales outlets throughout the country beginning 1st April with on the road price of RM69,990.00. Unveiled by former Prime Minister YAB Tun Mahathir Mohamad on 26th January, the M2 Edition is a limited edition variant of the country’s top selling MPV. Special features include a special “M2” grade mark and a special colour “Midnight Blue”.
Other special features include custom leather seat covers and custom carpet mats. The Perodua ALZA M2 Edition is named after the code name “M2” given to the second national car project which was later renamed Perodua.
“It is with great honour that we choose this name for the Exclusive and Limited Edition ALZA in recognising Tun’s contribution and vision to Perodua,” Perodua Managing Director Datuk Aminar Rashid said. He added: “In conjunction with Tun’s visit as well as his significant role in setting up Perodua, we will donate RM1,000 with each sale of the ALZA variant to the Perdana Leadership Foundation, of which Tun Mahathir is the honorary president”. The total amount of the donation is RM500,000. Perodua will only produce 500 units of the M2 Edition and targets to sell the entire 500 units within a few months.
