Perodua launches first of its kind Twitter-based safety check service. Its FREE!

Perodua has just launched a first-of-its-kind Twitter-based free safety check in Malaysia, whereby someone with a Twitter account can send a request to a nearby mobile team for a 15-point safety check in time for the Raya holidays. The Tweckbot, which is a word that combines Twitter, check and robot, is the name for Perodua’s mobile team that will travel within the Klang valley with the objective of giving a peace of mind while making the exodus to their respective kampungs to celebrate Hari Raya with their loved ones.
“This unique Corporate Responsibility pilot programme is our commitment towards placing People First in whatever we do,” Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh, Perodua Managing Director said at the launch of the programme here today. The 15-point check include an engine check, transmission check, coolant system (include coolant level as well as fan and tempreture), brake system check (includes brake fluid and brake pad wear), power steering system check, clutch system check, tyre check, suspension system check, electrical system check (includes battery, lights and wiper checks) and engine diognosis. To secure an appointment, Perodua costumers need to have a Twitter account and follow the Perodua team on @MYPerodua to know where and when the Tweckbot team will be in your neighbourhood.
“Vehicles that need proper servicing, maintenance and repair will then be channeled to our service centres of the customer’s choice” Aminar said. For this programme, Perodua has allocated 5 mobile teams, which will visit 14 locations within the Klang Valley area between 28th July and 10th August, which can potentially check 40 vehicles per day depending on weather and traffic condition. Perodua is allocating 20 people for this pilot project. The locations include Subang, Ampang, Sentul, Kg. Baharu, Cheras, Serdang, Puchong, Wangsa maju, Selayang, Shah Alam (section 1-14), Shah Alam (Section 15-24), Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Bangsar and Petaling Jaya. “For those whose vehicles needing a tune up, they are most welcomed to visit any of our 171 service centres nationwide for servicing and maintenance. Customers who want a new look to their vehicles can also visit selected service outlets with B&P facilities. “The Subang B&P Hub here is one of those providing high standards and quality after sales services, including B&P Works,” Aminar said.
