Luxury Version Of The ISUZU D-MAX Launched

Isuzu has launched an upmarket limited-edition model D-Max HI-DEF with improved features and luxuriously-appointed extras to provide owners with one of the most complete pick-up trucks in the market. The new 3rd-generation D-Max HI-DEF returns with a host of luxurious fittings and trim, transforming the rugged and tough award-winning D-Max into a polished and refined machine. “Its fuel efficiency, toughness and dependability under all driving conditions are already legendary. This limited edition HI-DEF takes nothing away from its strengths and instead adds the elements of luxury and distinctiveness to this popular vehicle,” said CEO of Isuzu Malaysia Kimitoshi Kurokawa. The popularity of previous HI-DEF models have been nothing short of amazing with customers requesting for more than the limited run of just 200 units. “We encourage customers to quickly place their bookings for the new 2012 HI-DEF model as it will also have a limited production run of just 210 units and we expect to sell out very quickly,” added Kurokawa.

Based on the ever-popular 3.0L 4×4 D-Max, the new HI-DEF will be available with a choice of either automatic or manual gearboxes and comes in a special Platinum Brown Mica paintwork or Mercury Silver Metallic that gives the vehicle an added element of class and luxury. The rims come with a titanium finish while the radiator and under grilles feature a lattice design finished in chrome. There is a new bumper guard and chrome body stripe to give the new HI-DEF a more distinctive outlook. At the rear, a chrome lamp guard accentuates the newly designed ‘D-Box’. This unique lid allows cargo to be safely locked away or removed altogether to haul larger items. The new ‘D-Box’ is also a new design and has a rugged side profile roll bar, giving the HI-DEF a more muscular profile.

Customers can also opt for an anodized aluminium roll bar in place of the ‘D-Box’. There are exclusive HI-DEF decals on the sides of the car and on the tailgate while the door visors have their own HI-DEF logos. Open the door and the Isuzu sill logo lights up in a pleasant blue LED glow, giving yet another personal touch to the HI-DEF.

Inside, the brown Italian leather-wrapped seats feature the HI-DEF logo stitched into them to give it that added distinctiveness. The carpet mats are also exclusive to the limited edition model. There is also a new entertainment and navigation command centre. This multimedia unit plays back just about any format of encoding including MP3, MP4 and movies via DVD, USB or auxiliary cable connections. You can control your iPod with the head unit. There is a GPS satellite navigation system built into the system and it works in conjunction with a reverse camera to help you ease into that tight spot. The system also comes with a Bluetooth hands-free connection that will sync to most major phones for safe driving. “I believe that the new HI-DEF will continue to be popular among urban users who appreciate the refinement and distinctiveness of the vehicle yet enjoy its practical and versatile nature in tackling all driving conditions,” concluded Kurokawa.

The Isuzu D-Max HI-DEF Limited Edition commands a starting on-the-road price from RM 96,498.40 without insurance (RM 97,680.70 in Sabah)(RM 97,911.10 in Sarawak) and is available at all Isuzu authorised showrooms immediately.
