HYUNDAI OPENS IN MALAYSIA ASIA PACIFIC TRAINING ACADEMY
Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) and Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) jointly officiated the opening of the Asia Pacific Hyundai Training Academy (APAC-HTA) recently. The opening event also kicked-start a 3-day Asia Pacific seminar attended by 20 Hyundai trainers from around the Asia Pacific region.
The APAC-HTA is a joint effort by HMC and HSDM aimed to improve customer service in the region. The academy is designed to assist its dealers’ sales and service staff to achieve a more professional and systematic approach to customer handling and management, which will subsequently result in higher customer satisfaction. The training programme will cover customer service training models and simulations, customer care practices, sales consultancy skills and team building activities. This APAC-HTA will be used by HMC to conduct training programmes for the trainers on a quarterly basis while HSDM will use it to train their dealers’ service and sales consultants.
“The effectiveness of the training programmes will be monitored and tracked on a quarterly basis based on customer satisfaction surveys. The findings will then be used as the foundation for developing and operating subsequent training programmes,” said Mr Kim Hoo-Keun, Head of Asia & Pacific Regional Headquarters, HMC. The set-up of this training academy is well-equipped with three seminar rooms, a mock-up showroom for practical training, a trainers’ office, a reception and a lounge area, and staffed with two HMC trainers.
HMC hopes to be the most loved car company in the world and is determined to improve its customer service, with its goal of offering world-class services to its customers. “In line with HMC’s corporate direction and goal, HSDM is also revving-up it’s effort to enhance customers’ experience and to improve our service quality to customers through the strengthening of its network of 3S centres and by offering training to sales, service as well as its technical staff,” said Mr Lau Yit Mun, Managing Director of HSDM. The APAC-HTA is located on the 1st Floor of Sime Darby Auto Hyundai at Lot 1, Jalan Pelukis U1/46, Temasya Industrial Park, Section U1, Glenmarie, Shah Alam.
