0Toyota Supra Confirmed By Tetsuya Tada
Tetsuya Tada, the chief engineer of the Toyota GT86 has confirmed that there will be a Supra successor coming to the market. At the recent Toyota 86 Experience in Cologne he confirmed to attending ASEAN media that this iconic sports car will come and with more power and handling.
He also remarked that the request to make a Supra successor came directly from Toyota Motors president Akio Toyoda. Toyota has admitted that producing sports cars is “very important” to its strategy. With regards to the lower-end model, Tada declined to confirm whether the successor to the MR2/MR-S will be in the form of a mid-engine or rear-wheel drive sports car and if the Celica will see a revival.
