Porsche’s 2014 Panamera Facelift and Detailed Pictures

Set to make its global debut later this month, the 2014 Panamera facelift comes with a mild updated design where Porsche engineers focused on the rear end featuring a new pop-up spoiler, a wider rear area, a relocation of the number plate holder and of course a new bumper. Moreover, the car also features new LED tail lamps and some minor facial tweaks. Furthermore, this 2014 Panamera facelift comes as standard with bi-xenon headlights, multifunction steering wheel and an automatic boot lid.Surprisingly, a new twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine is available on the Panamera S and 4S, replacing the naturally aspirated 4.8-liter V8 engine. Furthermore, the new V6 engine delivers 413bhp, 19bhp more than the outgoing model. Torque was also increased 14 lb ft to 385lb ft. Fuel consumption was also increased by 18 percent.

The Panamera facelift also adds three luxurious Executive versions with an extended wheelbase: the Panamera 4S, Panamera Turbo and Panamera Turbo S. The new Panamera debuts an entirely new 3.0-liter V6 engine with biturbo charging for the Panamera S and Panamera 4S, replacing the old 4.8-liter V8.

The optimised adaptive cruise control system, for example, now actively intervenes in the braking process in hazardous situations. Camera-based traffic sign detection and lane departure warning offer greater convenience in cross-country and motorway travel. The Executive models offer more rear seating space (with their 15 cm longer wheelbase) and even better ride comfort. All Panamera Executive models will feature the innovative Panamera air suspension, which combines excellent ride comfort and typical Porsche driving properties. Under the hood, we find the new biturbo 3.0-liter V6 engine capable to deliver 20hp more power (430hp) and 20 Newton metres (520hp) more torque, but up to 18 per cent better fuel economy compared to the V8 engine in the previous model. The Panamera and Panamera 4 models are equipped with the 3.6-liter V6, delivering 310hp and 400Nm of torque.

The Panamera Diesel gets the same 3.0-liter diesel engine delivering 250hp and 550Nm of torque. The Panamera GTS is powered by the 4.8-liter V8 engine delivering 440hp and 520Nm of torque. The Panamera Turbo has the same 4.8-liter V8 engine delivering 520hp and 700Nm of torque. Most of the Panamera models are equipped with the seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung PDK. The comfortable eight-speed automatic Tiptronic S operates in the Panamera Diesel and Panamera S E-Hybrid.
