BMW introduces the All-New BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo

BMW has introduced the all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo (GT).The highlights of the all-new BMW 3 Series GT are its lightweight construction concept, Air Breathers and the active rear spoiler which further improves the aerodynamics of the all-new BMW 3 Series GT which comes inclusive of the innovative BMW Sports Line trim. With its upgraded cabin size, raised seating position and additional 7cm of rear seat passenger’s legroom, the all new BMW 3 Series GT enjoys an overall increase in length of 20cm over the 3 Series Touring, allowing unbeatable freedom of movement and an impressive feeling of space.

At the heart of the all-new BMW 3 Series GT is the multi-award winning BMW TwinPower Turbo technology which teams up with an intelligent eight-speed automatic transmission to significantly reduce fuel consumption and emissions. The BMW 3 Series GT houses an in-line four cylinder engine and delivers a maximum output of 180 kW/245 hp with torque peaking at 350Nm. Sprinting from 0-100km/h in a mere 6.1 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h, the average fuel savings are 6.4 litres per 100km with CO2 emissions of 149 grams per km. The all-new BMW 3 Series GT also offers drivers the ability to modify the overall character of the vehicle to suit driving or personal preferences and the ECO PRO, COMFORT, SPORT and SPORT+ modes are incorporated as standard features, thus blending the all-new BMW 3 Series GT’s enviable power output with efficiency.

Reaffirming BMW’s key qualities as leaders in innovation, the unique ECO PRO mode plays a particularly effective role as it not only assists in adjusting the accelerator’s responses and engine management system, but also reaps the rewards of an intelligent energy and climate management capabilities for even further fuel consumption reductions. The ECO PRO Route function joins forces with the new Navigation System Professional to monitor the driver’s personal driving style and the profile of the road ahead in order to propose the most fuel-saving route and vehicle setup. It also helps drivers to maintain an efficient and economical driving style by cutting up to 20% fuel consumption with a corresponding boost to the car’s range on a tank of fuel.

Although the all-new BMW 3 Series GT is larger in terms of dimensions and space, it is barely any heavier than the BMW 3 Series Sedan; with the increased deployment of aluminium components in the engine and chassis construction reducing overall weight. Intelligent lightweight design can be found in every area of the development process and its reach extends to every component as it is a significant contribution to efficiency and agility, and helps to give BMW cars their impressive dynamic capability.

Like all contemporary BMW vehicles, the all-new BMW 3 Series GT is fitted with the latest technology to keep drivers informed with an all new on board crystal clear circular instrument with black-panel display, inclusive of a freestanding BMW ConnectedDrive monitor. BMW ConnectedDrive manages the information exchange between passengers, vehicle and the outside world in a particularly intelligent and targeted way. The expanded BMW ConnectedDrive is equipped with internet connectivity, Park Distance Control and Navigation System Professional. Further enhancements include the BMW TeleServices, Bluetooth interface with extended Office functions as well as BMW Apps which features AUPEO! Personal Internet Radio.
The all-new BMW 3 Series GT Sport Line is available in Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Melbourne Red, Glacier Silver, Midnight Blue, and Mineral Grey. The luxury sportiness of the BMW 3 Series GT is further emphasized by the Dakota Black with Red highlighted leather upholstery while the exclusive Alpine White variant is also available with Dakota Coral Red with Black highlighted leather upholstery.
The all-new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo will be available at BMW dealerships throughout Malaysia from 8 June 2013.  The retail price (on the road, without insurance, with BMW Service + Repair Inclusive (BS+RI) for the all-new BMW 3 Series GT is: BMW 328i Gran Turismo Sport Line – RM 348,800.00
