VW Beetle Gets The ABT Sportline Treatment

The German tuner ABT Sportsline has unveiled its program for the Beetle Coupe and Beetle Cabrio. The tuner has developed an exterior package and a performance kit for the all new “bug”.

Outside the car we see a more aggressive bodystyling kit. It comes with a new spoiler, headlights covers, a twin pipe exhaust system, new springs and suspensions and a 30mm lower ride height. The customers will be able to order the car in three metallic paint colors: mystic anthracite, gunmetal and silver bullet.

The engineers from ABT have taken care of the entire engine lineup. ABT have done modest tuning with the petrol engines. The 1.2 liter TSI now offers 140hp and 220Nm of toque, the 1.4 TSI unit delivers 210hp and 280Nm peak of torque. Last, but not the least, the 2.0 liter TSI engine can now deliver VW ‘R’ performance with 240horsepower and 340Nm peak of torque.
