SHELL RIMULA THRILLS GUESTS WITH TRUCK RACING WEEKEND IN PRAGUE
One hundred and eighty Shell Rimula guests from around the world, including 10 lucky contest winners from Malaysia, had a weekend to remember recently. The 10 Malaysians were Mr Foo Sai Seng, 47 from Kuala Lumpur; Mr Gan Chai Long, 41, from Melaka; Mr Han Fatt Yen, 46, from Miri; Mr James Liew, 62, from Sandakan; Ms Ko Meng Fong, 39, from Johor; Ms Mok Yau Mee, 40, from Sandakan; Mr Tee Chu Wong, 46, from Port Dickson; Ms Thong Pek Suang, 56, from Petaling Jaya; Mr Ting Wei Khing, 43, from Bintulu; and Mr Tiong Tak Heng, 55, from Sibu.
They were among the among the crowd at the Autodrom Most circuit in Prague, Czech Republic to witness the FIA European Truck Racing Championship as winners of the 2013 Shell Rimula ‘Win the Ride of Your Life’ global promotion and contest held from April till June this year.
The highlight of the all-expense 5-day 4-night VIP trip was the opportunity to ride on one of the European Truck Racing Championship trucks around the race circuit. The unique experience was part of Shell Rimula’s initiative to demonstrate its appreciation of the hard work put in by valued customers and truckers around the world.
On race day at Autodrom Most, guests were welcomed at the exclusive Shell Rimula hospitality marquee and settled in to watch the live action of the Czech round of the 2013 FIA European Truck Racing Championship. The races proved to be a thrilling climax to the ultimate truck racing weekend for Shell Rimula guests.
The event in Prague was the culmination of another hugely successful campaign for Shell Rimula that kicked off with the launch of the new Shell Rimula R4 X heavy duty diesel engine oil in April. This was followed by the nationwide Shell Rimula Hardworking Truck roadshow which traversed the Peninsula, Sabah and Sarawak to reward hardworking truckers.
