Audi On Target To Sell 1.5 Million Cars Globally
Despite the prolonged weakness of the European market, Audi will reach 1.5 million global sales this year, 12 months ahead of schedule. While Europe will remain tough, Audi CEO Rupert Stadler said that the Volkswagen Group premium brand is determined to reach annual global sales of 2 million vehicles by 2020. Audi is also poised to build fewer cars in Germany and build more outside. It is part of Audi’s strategy to get closer to the customer and avoid tariffs and barriers in a number of countries. The German factories will benefit from it. It was very clear from the beginning of Audi’s growth strategy to still keep more jobs running at home whilst creating more jobs in new markets.
