0BMW X4 SUV/Crossover Is All New
Originally shown as a concept at the Shanghai Auto Show, the X4 is now ready to be revealed as a production model. The simplest way to explain it would be to call it a small Sports Activity Coupe, the size of the X3, but sharing its design philosophy with the X6.
It’s been created for younger, less family-oriented buyers who would have bought the X6 were it no so big and expensive. This new X4 has to worry about the next generation Range Rover Evoque, the Audi Q3 and the upcoming Porsche Macan which is its segment rivals.
The engine range will be a carry-over from the X3, notably also including the latest B-series next generation units. The possible dimensions of the X4 will mirror that of the Concept X4 which was a body length of 4,648 mm, a width of 1,915 mm and a height of 1,622 mm. BMW seems to have a lot of good news of the 2014 as it increases it product lineup. There is an all new X5 all-new model, the X3 has just been updated and soon the X1 and X6 SUVs will also be renewed.
