0Porsche 997 911 GT2 into a GT2 RS by OK-Chiptuning
OK-Chiptuning, is not a household name here but they have been taking stock Porsches are giving them a race ready feel. Known for their performance and design modifications, they have recently come up with a brilliant program to transform the Porsche 997 911 GT2 into a GT2 RS look alike.
Porsche only made 500 examples of their incredible GT2 RS, so you’d probably struggle to find one to buy, not to mention the prices they go for.
OK-Chiptuning have updated the standard 997 GT2 tail lights with the 2nd gen 997 LED tail lights, the same as those found on the GT2 RS. The car is also fitted with OZ Ultraleggera HLT alloy wheels finished in gloss black, wrapped in Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tyres. Since this particular car is a GT2 Clubsport, it’s got Porsche’s ceramic brakes, a roll cage and an interior dripping with Alcantara and carbon fibre.
While it’s great that the car looks like a GT2 RS, it needs to perform like one too,to live up to its name. OK-Chiptuning have not forgotten that, and it shows in the extensive list of performance modifications to the car. An Akrapovic racing exhaust system, including manifolds and sport catalysts, a Sachs racing clutch, modified GT2 RS intercoolers, and of course ECU tuning, mean that the car is now even more powerful than a legitimate GT2 RS, pumping out 680hp and 649lb-ft of torque which is 60hp more than the GT2 RS’ sizzling 620hp and 150hp more than the standard GT2 they started with. This results in a 0-60 time of under 3 seconds, and 0-120mph in around 8 seconds.
