Mazda MX5 2015 Model Will Be 100kg Lighter
The new Miata is going to be at least 100 kg (220 lbs) lighter while packing more power than the current model. It will also come with a lower center of gravity as well as an increased body rigidity which will make it safer in case of a crash. Fitted with a SKYACTIV-CHASSIS, the 2015 MX-5 is set to become a “remarkable production car” and will also spawn an Alfa Romeo Spider model as well as another possible Mazda-badged rear-wheel drive car to help spread development costs.
