Omega’s Celebrated De Ville For Your Attention
OMEGA’s De Ville collection welcomes a new luxurious model, which is announced as a testimony to the Manufacture’s craftsmanship – the Omega De Ville Central Tourbillon model with diamond set bezel.
The new version of Omega’s celebrated De Ville model is the brand’s contemporary take on one of the most demanding complications in watchmaking – the tourbillion. The Omega De Ville Central Tourbillion model adds a touch of modernity to the utterly classic tourbillion, a complication that exists for more than 200 years. In its new rendition, Omega’s tourbillon unites a brilliant design with the most sophisticated baguette-cut diamonds of the top quality. This exclusive new watch is issued in a strictly limited edition, comprising of only 8 pieces worldwide. Every single from this small series features a discrete engraving on the lateral side of the case, which indicates its individual number in this small edition (n/8). Furthermore, watchmaker’s initials are inscribed on the rear of the tourbillon’s main plate.
The watch comes in a 38.7 mm 18-karat red gold case, with corresponding gold hands, screws and wheels. The whole aesthetic of this timepiece is slave to its beautiful tourbillon, which is visible through the sapphire crystal. The titanium cage, which occupies the central position on the dial, completes one full rotation per minute. The cage is joined with an 18-karat red gold alpha-shaped seconds hand, which extends its functionality to a uniquely designed small seconds counter. The hour and minute hands are fixed onto the sapphire crystal, which gives them a distinctive flying appearance.
The bright color of the gold is nicely contrasted by chocolate brown bridges and plates, which have been treated with colored PVD. The oscillating weight is made of rare and precious platinum, and yet it remains hidden behind the solid case-back, which reveals an interesting medallion portraying the anthropomorphized depiction of time. However, the most dazzling design element of this watch is its bezel, which is set with 24 baguette diamonds cut into trapezoidal shapes.
Omega De Ville Central Tourbillon diamond-set is powered by the Omega’s Co-Axial caliber 2635, which provides about 45 hours of power reserve. The movement is officially COSC-certified, and it is offered with a three-year warranty. This model is produced in a limited edition of 8 pieces, each presented on a luxurious brown leather strap with foldover clasp. The watch is delivered in a special presentation box made of leather, which also serves as a watch winder.
