Toyota Hilux 2016 Model Spyshots
The next generation Toyota Hilux is finally coming to replace the current 10 years old version, which is still a very honest, capable and reliable machine but it is starting to look rather dated against the Ford Ranger and Isuzu D-Max when it comes to looks and interior finish.
Here are spy photos shown where the next Hilux appears to have grown to a more mature shape. Long gone are the huge headlamps and the 90’s style bumpers.
The new model adopts more of Toyota’s Keen Look design, coming with slimmer, longer headlamps incorporating a thin strip of LED daytime running lights, a narrower upper grille, the overly-used trapezoidal lower vent as well as more sharper side lines.
The hood appears to be slightly more bulged at the tip and those old arched fenders appearing to be simply stuck on to the body are now gone, with some more muscle one-piece fenders replacing them now.
Being a global Toyota pickup, the Hilux will be offered in three cab-styles (Single Cab, Extended Cab and Crew Cab) along with a series of engines. A revised 2.5-liter or 3-liter diesel units might be offered to start.
