Hyundai Elantra Facelift Features 14 New Improvements & Upgrades
Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) has launched the new Elantra Facelift at all its showroom nationwide immediately. The Elantra Facelift features 14 new improvements and upgrades, which makes the vehicle the perfect C-segment car in the market. It is also much sharper in looks as compared to its predecessor with a slight tweak on the car’s exterior. Improvements are reflected in the interior of the car with the introduction of several new advanced features.
The overall length of the Elantra Facelift has increased to 4,550 mm, 20mm longer than its predecessor, while maintaining its wheelbase. With front and rear bumpers extended by 5mm and 15mm, respectively, the new facelift projects a more stable, balanced look. The newly-designed front bumper, radiator grille, fog lamps as well as the adoption of *LED Light Guide and *Projection Headlamps add a dynamic, high-tech feel to the Elantra. The redesigned alloy-wheels and rear combination lamps also accentuate the Elantra’s premium car image. (* The LED Light Guide and Projection Headlamps are available for 1.6 Premium & 1.8 Premium only.)
Enter the cockpit area and experience the new and advanced design. Noticeable improvements include the relocation of the air-conditioning vents, new Transmission Gear Shift (TGS) Gear Knob, *Flex Steer System on the steering wheel that enables drivers to choose from normal, comfort or sports mode, *Rear Air-conditioning vents for the comfort of the rear passengers, *MirrorLink Audio Visual Receiver and an *upgraded Supervision Cluster with 3.4-inch OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) Display for easy reading. The OLED is clearer than the conventional dot type display for increased readability and information delivery. (*The upgraded OLED Display, Flex Steer System, Rear Air-conditioning vents and MirrorLink Audio Visual Receiver are applicable to the 1.6 Executive, 1.6 Premium & 1.8 Premium variants only).
According to Mr Lau Yit Mun, Managing Director of Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors, car buyers looking for a new C-segment will be pleased with the new facelifted Elantra. “This new version of the Elantra is complete in every way. Apart from maintaining the great features of the original Elantra, we have fitted additional advanced features into the facelifted model,” said Mr Lau.
The facelifted Elantra maintains the same powerplant with a choice of two engines, Nu D-VVT 1.8-litre MPI and Gamma 1.6-litre MPI D-CVVT. Mated to six-speed transmissions and both engines deliver impressively more horsepower while consuming less fuel.
