Montblanc Heritage Chronométrie Ultra Slim

Since Minerva, a Swiss Manufacture founded in Villeret in the Jura region of Switzerland in 1858, found a new home with Montblanc, its 157-year history has been inspiring the Montblanc watch collections. The “Pythagore” serves as great inspiration for the design of this line. This elegant watch with its 10½-line hand-wound calibre 48 developed in 1948 displayed the seconds on a subdial, and the 10½-line hand-wound calibre 49 had a central second hand.  T

Today, the Montblanc Heritage Chronométrie Ultra Slim uses a manually wound calibre MB 23.01 with a balance-wheel frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, and a power reserve of 42 hours. The timelessly elegant design features of the Pythagore timepiece are reflected in the entire Montblanc Heritage Chronométrie collection but especially in the Ultra Slim.

The 38 mm case has been refined down to the very last detail: the watch, with an ultra slim height of just5.8 mm, comes in 18 K red gold and steel versions. The red gold version to go with the warm 18 K gold tone has an ivory finely grained dial. The steel version has a dialwith a sunburst finishing that highlights the reflection of the material. Both feature a case with a stepped bezel that has a flat surface, curved horns with characteristic facets and polished surfaces. The winding crown bears a relief engraving of Montblanc’s distinctive emblem. Thedial has clearly readable minute-circle, double-facetted indexes and Arabic numerals with a timeless look. To be excellent in every detail, the two versions have different numeral finishes.

In keeping with this, both facetted hands have been produced in a striking sword shape. Just like every timepiece in the Heritage Chronométrie collection, the Ultra Slim meets highest precision and quality standards. True to this philosophy, the leather strap comes from the Montblanc Pelleteria, the company’s leather manufacture in Florence, and has been adorned with a classic Montblanc pin-buckle.

The “Laboratory Test 500” developed by Montblanc puts each watch through a test lasting 500 hours, simulating the watch being worn on the wrist under normal conditions right through to extreme situations. It guarantees that only perfect timepieces leave the Montblanc Manufacture in Le Locle.
