Perodua Myvi Owners Create History With Largest Car Gathering
A total of 2,613 Perodua owners have made their way to Setia Alam, Shah Alam and also into the Malaysian Book of Records in the biggest car gathering in Malaysian history. The record was broken during Perodua’s Myvi Gathering event today with participants from the Klang Valley as well as other states in West Malaysia converged to celebrate the Myvi 10 Anniversary here.
This historic event is part of the “Myvi 10th anniversay” campaign in celebrating the 10th anniversary of its best-selling model, which sold over 840,000 units since it was launched on 25th May 2005.
“We are very happy to celebrate this very important milestone with our loyal customers and we will be giving one lucky participant a 10th Anniversary Commemorative Edition Myvi as a big thank you,” Perodua President & CEO Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh said.
The official announcement of the number of Myvi gathered was done by The Malaysian Book of Records’ official representative Mr Siva Sorianarayanan and was witnessed by YB Dato’ Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz, Member of Parliament of Tanah Merah. Also during the event, Datuk Aminar drew the name of the lucky contestant En Syed Mohamad Izzuddin Syed Ahmad Termizi from Perak who won the limited edition commemorative Myvi.
“Another surprise is that we are also introducing the Myvi GearUp accessories packages to our customers ranging from RM2,900 and RM3,300 depending on specifications,” Aminar said.

The Myvi Gathering event drew approximately 5,000 Myvi owners, drivers and their families to enjoy a full day fun filled activity at Setia Alam
Participants were also given an exclusive gift pack worth over RM400, games, fun contest, hot air balloon rides and activities with amazing prizes. Participants will also be treated to an outdoor movie show followed by a fireworks display. The “Myvi 10niversary” campaign is part of Perodua’s “Myvi, love of the Nation” initiative which started in December 2014 and will end in December 2015. The Perodua Myvi is Perodua’s successful model so far and as of to date 2 in every 10 cars that are on Malaysian roads is a Myvi.
