Dietmar Voggenreiter – the new head of Sales and Marketing for Audi AG

It’s pretty clear that for both Audi AG and Volkswagen Group, the Chinese market is a pretty important place to be. Being one of the toughest markets to enter as well, what with restrictions imposed by the government as well as blatant pirating of design, those who work under the Audi umbrella in China are usually tested by fire.

Dietmar Voggenreiter is one of these people. He studied business helloistration with a focus on technology at the University of Stuttgart. There he earned his doctorate in economics and social sciences in 1998. Voggenreiter then began his career at the management consultancy firm Horváth & Partners, where he subsequently headed the Competence Center Automotive Industry.

He moved to AUDI AG in 2002. He initially took over management duties within Controlling at the Ingolstadt headquarters. In 2005, he became responsible for strategic corporate planning. He contributed significantly in this capacity to developing the Audi corporate roadmap “Strategy 2015.”

In 2007 Voggenreiter took charge of the company’s China business in Ingolstadt. Two years later he moved to Beijing as President of Audi China Enterprise Management Co. Ltd., a    wholly owned subsidiary of AUDI AG. He was appointed General Representative of AUDI AG in 2013.
