Listen to the roar of the new Audi R8

The all-new Audi R8 may be the last generation of naturally aspirated supercars from the four rings. We’re seeing a segment-wide shift towards turbocharged motors, both for performance and efficiency reasons. This new R8 only comes in V10 flavour, featuring cylinder deactivation technology and a full variable split for the all-wheel drive system. It’s shorter, wider, and lower than the model it replaces.

The century sprint is done with in just 3.5 seconds for the regular V10, or 3.2 seconds if you opt for the V10 Plus model. Even though the R8 has always been positioned as more of a cruiser than a bruiser, it will be interesting to see how this new R8 fares against more driver oriented cars like the 911 or the new McLaren 570S.
