Mercedes-AMG Launches Limited Edition Hot Coupe
To celebrate the unveiling of their new 2016 DTM car, Mercedes-AMG developed a special version of the C-Class coupe for a very limited number of enthusiasts. The C63 S “Edition 1” mirrors very closely the paint scheme of the German race car with its selenite gray matte paint and yellow striping. It also features matte black high performance five-spoke wheels with the flanges painted yellow for a sporting appearance.
In addition to more aggressive looks, the C63 S “Edition 1” features a 510 hp version of the AMG 4.0 biturbo engine, specially developed sport tires and carbon/ceramic brakes for track-ready stopping power. The suspension features AMG dynamic ride control with settings for both the track and the street. There is also a specific aero package designed to reduce lift at high speeds which includes a front spoiler and rear diffuser.
Inside there are AMG performance seats clad in Nappa leather stitched in contrasting yellow into an intricate diamond pattern. The yellow accent stitching continues on the door panels and arm rests. And the performance oriented instrument panel uses the same yellow color to dramatic effect.
Production is limited on this Euro-only package, so you will need to wait for a parallel importer to quench your thirst for this car.
