0Perodua launches mobile service team for Peninsular Malaysia
Perodua is extending its mobile service team or M-Team, the first of its kind in the country, to the West Malaysia beginning in Terengganu with the objective to reach out to its customers located outside the range of the compact carmaker’s service outlets.
The M Team was first introduced on 7th November 2013 in East Malaysia to assist its customers who live a far distance away from a Perodua authorised service centre to maintain their Perodua vehicle and thus keeping their vehicle warranty intact.
Perodua offered a 5-year warranty to all customers who purchased their new Perodua vehicle from September 2014 onwards.
”This initiative is our way of making it easier for our customers to service their Perodua vehicles and also ensure peace of mind by providing them with genuine parts,” Perodua President & CEO Datuk (Dr) Aminar Rashid Salleh said.
The team consist of 4 people; comprising of a foreman, mechanics and a service advisor. The services offered include vehicle service maintenance, vehicle inspection, technical advice and for those who made an advance appointment, will be able to make warranty claims within the stipulated terms and conditions.
The Perodua M-Team Peninsular Malaysia is using a 5-tonne lorry, which is modified to suit the requirements of the team.
In addition to the maintenance service that M Team is offering, the crew will also communicate with customers on the importance of following the service schedule as well as the importance of genuine parts to ensure their vehicle can be used at optimum level and prolong the vehicle life span.
“The Perodua M Team will begin its journey to the East Coast in Kuala Berang, Ajil and Paka from January 2016 onwards as we believe there customers there who do not have easy access to our authorised service centres,” Aminar said.
Perodua vehicle owners in these locations are encouraged to make an appointment with the team at the place and time stated.
Appointments can be made at 019 -9954949 during Perodua business hours at Terengganu from Saturday to Wednesday (8.30am – 5.40pm) and Thursday (8.30 am – 12.40pm) beginning January 2016 onwards.
Perodua has a total of 181 sales and 189 service centres nationwide.
On the current flood that is affecting several states in the country, Aminar said that Perodua is offering its flood assist programme to the victims.
“I wish to announce that Perodua is giving an open offer to assist all our customers that are affected by the flood. This includes a free vehicle inspection on affected vehicles and a 20% discount on selected parts.”
“In addition, we will also offer a RM100 cash rebate for towing services to the nearest service centre. This offer is for any Perodua vehicle affected by flood in Malaysia at any time of the year”.

“That being said, we pray that the devastating flood in the Northern and East Coast states does not repeat itself and we pray those affected recently would be able to recover quickly, “ he added.
