Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia Has a New CEO

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Malaysia has appointed Mr. Tomoyuki Shinnishi as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company effective 28 October 2016.

Shinnishi joined Mitsubishi Corporation (MC), Tokyo in 1997 and has held a wide range of leadership positions in the company.

From 2001 to 2008, Shinnishi worked in PT. Krama Yudha Tiga Belian Motors (KTB), the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Indonesia. Shinnishi held the position as the advisor of Production and Engineering before taking over the position of the Unit Head of Sales and Marketing.

From 2008 onwards, Shinnishi served as the Manager of Motor Vehicle ASEAN and South West Asia Department in MC.

In 2012, Shinnishi moved to Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) in Tokyo where he was the Manager of Russia & Alliance Office. There, Shinnishi was in charge of the Sales and Marketing for Mitsubishi Motors Russian market.

Shinnishi has close to 20 years of experience in the automotive industry.

Shinnishi’s pre successor, Mr. Yang Won-Chul will report back to MC, Tokyo during the same time. During his tenure, Yang has led the company to launch the all-new Triton pick-up in Malaysia, all-new Outlander SUV as well as drove the company to achieve the feet of surpassing 100,000 units of vehicle sales in Malaysia.

Shinnishi’s aim moving forward is to continue to discover new and innovative and competitive products in Malaysia.
