Toyo Tires sponsors the Putrajaya 100 Miles run
About 360 ultra-distance runners from Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore and Germany participated in the ‘TOYO TIRES PUTRAJAYA 100 MILES’ held recently. The two-day marathon with running routes that covered Putrajaya and Cyberjaya was organised by the PACAT Adventure Team and participants competed in 4 Categories ; 52km, 78km, 100km and the 100 Miles.
The event was attended by Toyo Tyre Sales and Marketing Malaysia (TSM) representatives, and more than 500 supporters, made up of friends and family members were present to cheer the runners. The race was flagged off at Taman Tasik Empangan Putrajaya by En. Zulkiflee Zainal, Race Director.
The race was intense and gruelling, as the competitors braved the elements and challenged not only their fellow runners but also their resolve. The competition was tough but the friendly atmosphere, camaraderie and the cheers from the enthusiastic spectators drove the racers right to the finish line.
The winner of the flagship 100 mile event was Jeff Ooi Joo Wan from Taiping, who turned in a blistering time of 25 hours and 11 minutes. Yim Heng Fatt came in second with a commendable time of 27 hours 15 minutes, while Fedoh Ompiduk was third in 27 hours 20 minutes.
The prizes for the top 3 winners were given away by Mr. William Tan, Sr. Manager, Branding, Toyo Tyre Sales and Marketing Malaysia.
The organising team led by Encik Zulkiflee Zainal and 80 of the Team PACAT crews did an exemplary job to make the event an unprecedented success.

This event is part of another Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives by Toyo Tyre Sales and Marketing Malaysia with the objective of promoting a healthy lifestyle through sports in Malaysia.
