0Why the 2018 BMW M5 will have all wheel drive?
The all-wheel-drive Mercedes-AMG E63 ‘S’ produces 603bhp and needs just 3.3 seconds to hit 100km/h from rest. The current and outgoing BMW M5 (pictured below) with 600bhp, needs 3.7 seconds to achieve the same acceleration. Which means, traction on the tarmac is lacking a bit. This is why the BMW ‘M’ engineers have decided to add all-wheel drive to the new M5 due for release later this year.
