Best Car Chase Scenes: Duel (1971), with the Plymouth Valiant and Peterbilt 281

Here’s one right out of a nightmare: the car chase scene from Steven Spielberg’s 1971 action thriller Duel. Here, the protagonist gets hunted down by a menacing truck driver on a lonely interstate highway.

The movie’s from the early 70s, so don’t expect a lot of advanced, expensive film techniques or stuntwork. However, I remember watching it as a child and being quite engaging.
