Ford Malaysia Expands Ranger Lineup with New Ranger FX4
Ford Malaysia has officially introduced the new Ranger 2.2L FX4, which comes with a range of darkened exterior and interior bits for an even tougher look.
Specifically, the Ranger FX4 features a front grille in black with a mesh pattern and blacked out fog light bezels. Additional technical graphics along the side and a blacked-out decal on the tailgate featuring the word ‘Ranger’ in negative space identify the truck as a unique FX4 variant. 18-inch Stark Grey painted wheels and a black sports bar complete the pickup truck’s new look.
Inside, black leather seats complement the dark interior and offer a unique level of refinement within the Ranger lineup. Other standard equipment include Ford’s SYNC infotainment system, Rear Park Assist with reverse camera, Electric Power Assisted Steering, and Electronic Stability Program, to name a few.
The Ranger FX4 is powered by a 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine with 158 hp and 385 Nm of torque, which is channeled to the wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. When venturing off-road, an electronically controlled transfer case on 4×4 models, an electronic locking rear differential and Hill Descent Control help drivers to take on the most challenging terrains with confidence.
The Ford Ranger FX4 is available in Aluminum Metallic and Meteor Grey. It comes with a price of RM RM121,888 including GST.
