Here’s Why The Persona Is the Safest Sedan Under RM45K
If you’re looking for a compact sedan for your family, chances are the Persona is going to be on your radar. It’s fun, stylish, feature-rich and most importantly, fairly priced.
The Proton Persona starts at just under RM45,000. While there are many aspects of the car we really like, the one thing that stands out at this price point is its inherent safety.
Not only has Stability Control and ISOFIX been standard from launch, but just look at the materials that go into the chassis.
As you can see, key parts of the chassis are strenghtened with high and ultra high strength steel. This means that in the event of a crash, the energy of the crash can be flowed through predetermined paths, away from the occupants. It also means that despite the Persona’s relatively small B-segment size, it’s a lot tougher than it looks.
And the HPF steel can be found through other important areas of the car as well. Reinforcement points along the doors have it as well.
Parts of the undercarriage and roof structure has this as well, creating a cocoon of safety around the occupants.
