Touch ‘n Go Wins Global Award at ITS World Congress 2017
Touch ‘n Go Sdn. Bhd. (TNGSB) received global recognition after winning the World Congress Hall of Fame Asia Pacific Industry Award at the ITS World Congress 2017 yesterday.
The World Congress Hall of Fame Awards recognize the highest standards of achievement from the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific in the high-tech transportation community across the categories of Industry, Local Government as well as Personal Lifetime Achievement.
Category winners were selected annually from each region based on the criteria which include industry excellence and performance in the transportation technology landscape.
Receiving the award was TNGSB Chief Executive Officer Syahrunizam Samsudin who came on board two years ago, with background in finance and IT, and a vision to transform the organisation into a FinTech company in the next 12 months.
At the World Congress yesterday, Syahrunizam also presented to the global audience of Touch ‘n Go vision for the future with a presentation entitled ‘Urban Mobility Powered by New Digital Payment System.’
By definition, intelligent transportation system (ITS) is a technology, application or platform that improves the quality of transportation or applications that monitor, manage or enhance transportation systems.
