BHPetrol Organises Orange Charity Hunt

Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn Bhd (BHPetrol) recently conducted its inaugural treasure hunt known as the “Orange Charity Hunt” for their customers. The event was a combined effort between BHPetrol retail staff, N. S. Seng Sdn Bhd and six BHPetrol stations located in the Kuala Selangor district.

Aimed to create higher brand awareness among the local community, the treasure hunt also saw six selected organizations receiving donations. The recipients were SRJK (C) Yoke Kuan Sekinchan, Sekolan Kebangsaan Seri Sekinchan, Rumah Tunas Harapan Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, SJK (C) Ijok, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim dan Miskin and Maahad Tahfiz Ulumul Huda.

The treasure hunt received 124 participants who were all customers of BHPetrol Ijok, Kuala Selangor, Tanjung Karang, Hujong Permatang, Sekinchan 1 and Sekinchan 2. It was flagged off from BHPetrol Ijok station and ended at Sekinchan 2.

Apart from answering questionnaires, the participants or ‘hunters’ had to complete other tasks such as preparing and serving their own cendol at the iconic Cendol Bakar Kuala Selangor, making few stops and taking pictures at Kuala Selangor and Sekinchan’s famous landmarks, and fueling up with a specific amount of petrol at selected BHPetrol stations.

The treasure hunt was won by Suzaidee who took home a Vespa scooter worth RM15,000 with special “BHP” number plate and RM3,000 cash. Second and third place winners won cash worth RM2,000 and RM1,000, respectively.

The event was officiated by Dato’ Sri Lim Chin Fui, Managing Director of N.S. Seng Sdn Bhd and Ir. Azizul Azily Ahmad, Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn Bhd’s General Manager for Supply, Retail and Government Relations.
