Clarification on Bitcoin Transaction for Proton Cars
Proton wishes to clarify on the reports that have gone viral on social media, with regards to the usage of Bitcoin to purchase Proton cars.
The company does not recognise such transaction or offer and that the photo that suggests such transaction was independently initiated by a dealer of Proton. Operations by the dealer has been suspended, pending further investigation.
Proton says it is open to innovative ways of car sales to keep customers’ interest in its cars. However, dealers are cautioned to exercise consideration and due care in carrying out promotion activities which are not endorsed by Proton.
