Chevrolet Needs to Push a ‘Hero Product’ To Increase Colorado Appeal

Earlier this month, Chevrolet revealed their new Silverado. Oversized American trucks of this sort don’t make it to our shores. They’re way too big for most Malaysian drivers and roads, are usually built for RHD markets and are way too expensive to own and run.

But that’s the case for the Ford F-150, yet plenty of Malaysians are crazy over that hulking thing. Ford’s regional and local officed do recognise the value in that hero product, that’s why you have things like the Ranger Raptor to give local fans a small dose of the real thing (the F-150 Raptor).

Chevrolet has got a presence in Malaysia, and with a well-equipped Colorado on sale, they really should use products like the Silverado to build excitement around the Chevy brand. Until then, the Ranger is going to be a more desirable product.
