The Tesla Model 3 Has Some Serious Engineering Issues

A few days ago, the Autoline Network released this video. It follows an experienced automotive consultant’s discoveries about the Tesla Model 3’s build quality and engineering issues. What really surprised us was the panel gaps. They were large on one side but acceptable on the other.

This has not been an issue in car production for years. However, most of the problems highlighted concern safety issues, such as the difficult to reach emergency cut-off points.

To understand why this can be an issue, you have to remember that Lithium-ion batteries are still flammable. Late last year, this Tesla Model S caught on fire in Austria after a collision. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but you can see the firefighters had their work cut out for them. Nobody was hurt in the incident.

It should be noted that the Model 3 being torn down in the first video could be an early production version. That would explain the build-quality issues.
