Hi-Rev Unveils 2018 Racing Teams – SCK, Jobaru Piaww and Dream Chaser

Hi-Rev Racing has officially unveiled its 2018 satellite teams – Hi-Rev SCK, Hi-Rev Jobaru Piaww and Hi-Rev Dream Chaser. This season is a particularly exciting one for Hi-Rev as it marks the brand’s active participation in motorsports as well Hi-Rev Racing’s return to the race track in car and motorcycle racing.

Present at the unveiling ceremony was Hi-Rev General Manager, Valerie Poon, Team Principals, Soong Chee Kiong (SCK), Md Sees (Jobaru Piaww) and CY Ong (Dream Chaser), as well as two promising youngsters from Hi-Rev Young Talent Program, Adam Khalid and Danial Bogers.

The brand will be competing with a total of 15 machines (13 bikes and two cars) this year in Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC), Malaysian Cub Prix Championship, Malaysia Superbike Championship, MSF Superbikes, King of 2T, MSF Racing Series and Malaysia Championship Series.

SCK Rapido Hi-Rev Honda racing team started off Round 1 of the ARRC 2018 in March with an impressive win in the Underbone 150 Series in Thailand and clinched another top spot for the same category in Japan last month. In 2017, Hi-Rev’s first year with SCK Racing, the team finished first place in Malaysia, Japan and India, securing three wins out of six rounds in the championship.

For the MSF Racing Series, Hi-Rev will be competing with a race-prepped Proton Saga and Proton Satria Neo in the Saga Cup and the Race Car 1600 class respectively. The hatchback will also race in the Malaysia Championship Series 2018.

The Malaysia Superbike Championship saw the brand competing with in most of the classes, bagging several podiums in Round 1 with a first-place finish in Superstock, second and third place in Supersport and second place in Super 250. Danial Bogers is currently second in the Super 250 class while SCK Rapido riders are first and third in the Supersport class.

Hi-Rev is set to field two Kawasaki Ninja 250R motorcycles in the Super 400 Class in the new MSF Superbike Championship, and three Kawasaki KIPS 150RR in the two-stroke category in King of 2T.

At the same event, Hi-Rev also launched its latest premium performance lubricant, the fully-synthetic TorQe Pro 5w-40. It contains a unique blend of PAO with Ester Plus technology for exceptional performance and protection against thermal stress. The engine oil is retailed at RM280 per 4-litre pack.
