Porsche Le Mans Classic Clubsport for RM1.3 Million
British car customizer Paul Stephens has just revealed their latest take on a Porsche 911. Called the Le Mans Classic Clubsport, it’s comprehensively rebuilt to exacting standards and stripped of extraneous elements in a “less is more” approach. That includes composite bumpers and engine cover, aluminum hood, and stripped roof panel that does away with the sunroof.
The 3.4-liter air-cooled boxer six is upgraded to 300 horsepower, with a new injection system, the plenum and camshafts from a GT3 RS, in-house programmable ECU, and lighter crankshaft, connecting rods, and flywheel. It’s mated to a Getrag G50 gearbox and limited-slip differential. Paul Stephens will offer the Le Mans Classic Clubsport in both Touring and Lightweight guises, the latter weighing as little as 970 kg in the latter spec to deliver a 0-60 time of 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 175 mph. Inside, those fortunate enough will find ST-style touring seats trimmed in black leather and houndstooth inserts, stainless steel pedals, 24-hour dashboard clock, and green floor mats, door pulls, seatbelts, and dials.
The rear seats have been replaced by a luggage box, and each comes with a special fitted luggage set. The Lightweight version does away with many of the luxury features and removes extra pounds with special carpets, manual windows and locks, and plastic rear windows.
It even does without the glovebox lid and only a single sun visor. Like what you see? Stephens and company will only make 10 examples, each built to order and priced around £250,000 (which is about RM1.5 Million before tax and delivery), with deliveries to commence at the Le Mans Classic race 2-years from now.
