BMW 3-Series 7th Generation On Test In Munich

The BMW Research and Innovation Center is currently rolling out its all new 3-Series (codenamed G20) for testing on the roads around Munich. In spite of the camouflage one can easily recognize the silhouette of the 3-Series which remains largely unchanged.

The double kidney on the new 7th generation 3-Series becomes more obvious with the headlights reaching back a little more and being slimmer. The wheelbase of this BMW 3-Series G20 will grow a bit, how much exactly, BMW does not comment. We expect only a few centimeters which will give more cabin space.

For better balance and handling, this new 3-Series has 50% of it weight on the front axle with the other 50% right behind. BMW has lowered its stance by 10 millimeters with the front track 43 millimeters wider and 21 millimeters at the rear. Target arrival in showrooms is in quarter two 2019.
