The Fiesta that’s being sold in Malaysian Ford showrooms right now is getting a little long in the tooth. We’ve even seen promos offering a free Fiesta with every purchase of the Mustang. Given that the 0% GST period is now coming to an end, we’re sure Sime Darby Auto Connexion has found a way to clear the last of their units.
The big question is: will they bring the new Fiesta in or not? Perhaps they will, but in much smaller numbers.
Selling hatchbacks without local-assembly operations is tough in Malaysia. And to be honest, as nice as this new Fiesta looks, to me it’s not quite as ground-breaking as the previous one was at its launch.
