The Forgotten GT…………BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe

With the recent launch of the BMW 6 GT we realized that the silhouette of this new GT looked very much like a forgotten BMW, the 4-Series Gran Coupe. Yes, its is smaller and less spacious, but many of us will not be able to afford the new 6 GT at RM450,000. So, here we offer an easier on the pocket USED BMW that still looks great and offers performance that will excite.

In 2015 BMW proudly launched the BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe which was their first four-door coupé in the premium midsize class that represented a consistent extension of the model range. It was longer, wider and more dynamic than any of the previous midsize series due to the balanced proportions of the vehicle. The BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe combined the sleek look of a two-door coupé with the functionality provided by four-doors and expansive spaciousness, including a wide-access luggage compartment.

The BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe has exactly the same dimensions as the two-door coupé: a length of 4,638 millimeters, a width of 1,825 millimeters and a wheelbase of 2,810 millimeters. Up front, both models are identical and share the typical BMW design features like the double-kidney grille, dual round headlights and the large air intake in the front apron. However, the roof of the BMW 4-Series Gran Coupé is twelve millimeters higher, 112 mm longer and gently stretched allowing it to flow smoothly into the rear quarter panels and boot lid. The typical BMW short overhangs, the long bonnet and the set-back passenger compartment complement the design of the BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe to express perfect balance combined with a bold presence.

On sale today as a used official BMW Malaysia import or from reconditioned car dealers, this 4-door coupe can be yours from as reasonable as RM190,000 (BMW Malaysia unit with existing warranty) to RM210,000 (reconditioned used UK import with no warranty).

With a 2-3-year-old BMW 428i Gran Coupe you get good performance from its 4-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine that delivers high-revving characteristics and high-performance output with low fuel consumption and reduced emissions. The 2.0-liter engine delivers a maximum power output of 245hp, which is reached between 5,000 and 6,500 rpm. Peak torque of 350Nm is generated between 1,250 rpm and 4,800 rpm. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.1 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
