Lexus to Make Technological Presence at KLIMS 2018

Connoisseurs of fine automobiles are in for a treat as an indulgent feast of Lexus craftsmanship will make a presence at the upcoming KL International Motor Show 2018.

An articulate array of advanced Lexus technology will feature alongside some of the finest vehicles in its segment including the Lexus RX300 Special Edition and the delectable Lexus LC500 at the show that opens from 23rd November till 2nd December 2018 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Dutamas Kuala Lumpur.

Announcing the attractions by Lexus Malaysia, President Ravindran K. explained that the Lexus showcase would highlight the meticulous care that goes into every single Lexus vehicle.

“At Lexus, craftsmanship is not merely skin deep. It is applied to everything we do. Every component, no matter how small, is meticulously crafted and we care as much about the parts you see as the ones you don’t,” he said.

Visitors will be able to visualize this level of commitment by Lexus through the Crafted Car Parts Box that showcases the intricacy of each component when isolated from the completed vehicle.

Headlining the exhibits will be the Lexus LS+ Concept. This concept car has played an instrumental role in the development of autonomous driving systems by Lexus engineers and has been a key contributor towards the vision of a world free of traffic casualties.

Tech aficionados will certainly not want to miss a peek at the various components used to develop the future of driving technology featured in this car.

Making its appearance before its official launch in Malaysia will be the seventh-generation Lexus ES. This all-new model that is loaded with an impressive arsenal of technological innovations sports an emotional design, reflecting its dynamic capabilities.

A fresh 2.5-litre powerplant powers this elegant and sporty executive sedan and the engine is mated to an equally impressive direct-shift 8-speed automatic transmission that debuts with this model.

Another head-turner in the line-up is the all-new Lexus UX. This compact Urban Crossover (UX) signals Lexus’ entry into this segment and showcases numerous firsts for Lexus vehicles including its unique styling attributes, interior materials and of course the fact that its development was spearheaded by Toyota Motor Corporation’s very first female Chief Engineer.

With imaginative technology as part of the Lexus core value, visitors will get to witness a phenomenal design breakthrough submitted by a Malaysian team at the Lexus Design Awards held in Milan in 2017.

The Malaysian pair of Paul Yong Rit Fui and Jaihar Jailani Bin Ismail who co-founded Aesthetid submitted an amazing design that helps identify an egg’s freshness and edibility through a colour pigment on the egg shell. The ‘Honest Egg’ design was such a ground-breaking entry, it was honoured as the first winners of the Lexus Design Award 2018 people’s choice at this year’s Milan Fashion Week.

“We at Lexus Malaysia are extremely proud to be able to present this extraordinary range of exhibits to the Malaysian people for the KL International Motor Show 2018. I believe that this exciting array of technology, innovation and beauty will inspire visitors and allow them to experience the amazing features and functions of Lexus and how it touches their everyday lives,” said Deputy Chairman of Lexus Malaysia Akio Takeyama.

Be sure to catch their remarkable design and all the amazing Lexus exhibits that will be on display at the Lexus booth at KLIMS this year.
