Most Malaysians Not Happy With NEW Petrol Subsidy

The Malaysian Budget 2019 has just been shared and middle class and lower middle class Malaysians are not all that happy about the petrol subsidy that has been announced by the Finance Minister. Here is why………

This above subsidy seems a little unrealistic as owners of luxury cars like the all new RM227,888 Mercedes A-Class A200 which has a turbocharged 1.3L engine that has a small capacity engine will benefit from the fuel subsidy whilst the owner of an older car with a large capacity engine like the year 2011 Proton Inspira 1.8L (valued today at RM25,000) will get no fuel subsidy.

So, if you are a single car owner and just happened to buy the all new Mercedes-Benz A200, you get a 30 cents a liter subsidy (up to 100 liters) every month and your poorer neighbour who drives a 7-year old Proton Inspira 1.8L does not get any subsidy.
