Would you say Yes to a used Citroën DS4 at RM69K?

We were around Naza Automall the other day when we noticed these two, relatively well preserved DS4 cars parked next to each other. Both were in white and were on sale for less than RM70K.

Looks like it’s in showroom condition (except it’s sitting in the sun)

Brand new, this car would have sold for RM145K. That’s less than half price! Of course, the car isn’t in pristine condition. But there’s a chance the 5-year manufacturer warranty could still be valid. That will give you a chance to get everything you need fix fixed for free/cheap.

Might have to check closer to know the condition of the cabin

The DS4 in Malaysia came with a 1.6-litre THP 4-cylinder that produced 160hp and 240Nm of torque. 0-100km/h can be dispatched in less than 10 seconds. So it’s quick, but not exceptionally fast. The transmission is a 6-speed automatic, and that sends power to the front wheels only.

Definitely some wear on those seats.

Of course, most of us are too risk averse to go for something like this. I too would hesitate to recommend a car like this. I’ve got to admit it’s quite a striking looking vehicle. Plus it’s got a pretty nice number plate too.

So, would you say ‘Yes’ to a DS4? Well maybe their TV ad will give you the answer:
