TISSOT, a Swiss watchmaking brand, held an exclusive cocktail evening in the heart of Suria KLCC to celebrate the launch of Tissot 2019 Exhibition. The week-long watch showcase, which runs from 5 March to 11 March, is open to the public and offers an exciting look at the latest novelties from Tissot’s 2019 collection.
Staying true to its signature ‘Innovators by tradition’, Tissot has continually strived for innovation to create many ‘firsts’ since its foundation in 1853 – from Tissot Antimagnetique, the world’s first non-magnetic wristwatch in 1930, to Tissot T-Touch Expert Solar, the world’s first tactile watch powered by solar energy in 2014, among others.
The evening commenced with an opening address by Ms. Kim Lim, Vice President of Tissot Malaysia, after which she was joined by Mrs. Tipanat Lenbury, Country Manager of The Swatch Group Malaysia, esteemed guests His Excellency Michael Winzap, Ambassador of Switzerland to Malaysia, Mr. Lloyd Parker, General Manager of Leasing, Suria KLCC, as well as actress-model-TV personality Ms. Amelia Henderson for a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the presence of watch enthusiasts, style innovators, influencers, and members of the media.
Tissot also took the opportunity to introduce Ms. Amelia Henderson as the first Friend of the Brand for Malaysia, who treated guests to a special performance that showcased her vocal prowess and rapping skills as a taste of what’s to come from her upcoming album. During the intimate party, guests were treated to a comprehensive lineup of high-quality timepieces to suit the different lifestyle and preferences of individuals.
The 2019 collection were presented in style with showstopping looks from a bevy of fashionable models. Some of the highlights include the Tissot Gentleman Automatic for the active and modern man, the Tissot T-Race MotoGP 2019 Quartz Chronograph Limited Edition, the Tissot Savonnette Mechanical pocket watch, the Tissot PR 100 Sport Chic Chronograph Lady, as well as the Tissot T-Touch Expert Solar II Swiss Edition, which comes equipped with a touchscreen, a long battery life and multitask functions to make it the ultimate Swiss adventurer’s watch.
