BMW Malaysia Spread The Importance of Child Safety
BMW Malaysia has partnered up with the Childline Foundation to increase the awareness around the importance of child car seats. They started off this campaign by giving away free infant car seats to the families of the first six babies born on Father’s Day 2019 at Hospital Putrajaya. Parents there were educated on the importance of using child seats with their newborns.
The infant car seats that were given away here were Chicco KeyFit 30models, and these were donated with the support of their local distributor.
Next, they will be subsidising 150 snskidz Ace infant carrier car seats. These will be made available in 5 government hospitals in the Klang Valley for about half their usual price of RM199 each. The education programme by the Childline Foundation will continue there as well.
The use of child car seats will become mandatory by 2020.
This campaign is part of the 5th BMW Safety 360° Programme. Previous editions of the programme ran in 2017 in association with UKids and in 2015 with the Safety Educator.
