0Mercedes AMG A-Class will get 421bhp version now
Mercedes-Benz lately has been releasing more radical versions of its AMG tuned cars. For the A-Class & CLA-Class range, the ’35’ AMG version with 306 hp will soon be joined by a hot all new A45 AMG which Mercedes has just unveiled its power delivery figures.
New AMG engine
This new generation will inherit a new engine, the M139, which replaces the previous 2 liter engine (M133). It still has a capacity of 2 liters and enjoys the possibility of offering customers 2 power delivery levels. The so-called “standard” A-Class tuned AMG model will develop 387 hp at 6750 rpm and 480 Nm of torque from 4750 to 5000 rpm while the model “S” will see its power soar to 421 hp at 6750 rpm for a couple maxi increased to 500 Nm at a slightly higher speed of 5000 rpm (and up to 5250 rpm).
Big power delivery
It is therefore a big evolution because, as a reminder, the previous model set its power level to 381 hp and 475 Nm. Mercedes-Benz is also making sure its immediate rivals are looked at, especially for the fast moving European market as the current Audi RS3 power delivery stops at an impressive 400 hp.
