RM290K Volkswagen Arteon Now Open for Pre-Booking

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia are bringing in the Arteon in a few months and they’re ready to take bookings. The 5-door luxury fastback is the company’s flagship model, being first shown in early 2017 to replace the CC.

The variant of the Arteon that’s being brought to Malaysia is the Arteon 2.0 TSI 4motion R-Line. It comes with a 2-litre TSI engine, a 7-speed wet clutch DSG, and an all-wheel drive system. The engine is tuned to produced 280PS and 350Nm of torque – the highest output of any petrol-powered Arteon.

4MOTION is Volkswagen’s permanent all-wheel drive system. It distributes the engine’s power to all four wheels by means of an all-wheel drive coupling, subject to the demands of the driving situation.

4MOTION offers a high level of active safety, reliable traction and optimal directional stability at all times. The all-wheel drive system operates together with the car’s handling control systems such as ESC, ASR and EDS.

This top-spec Arteon is being fully-imported from Germany and features a high-resolution Active Info Display, Discovery Pro infotainment system, a 9.2″ screen with gesture control and Wireless App-Connect. It also brings a 360-degree area view camera.

It’s likely there will be some variety between models OR Volkswagen Passenger Cars hasn’t been able to confirm the price yes as it’s quoted as “between RM290,000 and RM310,000”.

This VW Arteon sits above the Passat saloon in the current Volkswagen passenger cars line-up. The car is a rival to the likes of the Audi A5 Sportback, BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C Class and the Jaguar XE.

With a length of 4,862 mm, width of 1,871 mm and a height of 1,450 mm the Volkswagen Arteon is proportioned to carry five people in considerable comfort, while the generous wheelbase of 2,837 mm allows best-in-class legroom of 1,016 mm.

Luggage space is 563 litres with the rear seats in place, rising to a cavernous 1,557 litres of available carrying capacity when the rear seats are folded.

Colour options are as follows:

  • Manganese Grey
  • Deep Black
  • Reflex Silver
  • Romance Red
  • Urano Grey
  • Turmeric Yellow
