0Tesla Unveils Their First Pick-up, the Cybertruck
The Tesla Cybertruck has been shown for the first time.
The Tesla pick-up truck, nearly 7 years in development has finally been revealed at an event by CEO Elon Musk. It’s called the Cybertruck and it looks like nothing else we’ve ever seen! It’s a 5-seater pick-up that looks positively monolithic. Production will commence in late 2021 for the single and dual motor variants. The Tri Motor AWD production is expected to go into production in late 2022.
Its angular appearance suggests toughness that no other commercially available pick-up truck has been able to deliver. And that’s apparently what’s being delivered as well. The body is made of thick stainless steel and glass elements use the company’s Armor Glass.
These make the Tesla Cybertruck impervious to lots of physical damage, but an on-stage demo of the Armor Glass failed when a steel ball managed to crack it. Standard equipment on the Cybertruck includes Autopilot and Tesla’s other self-driving features.
Three specifications are being prepared for the US market.

PRESS RELEASE
EXOSKELETON
Cybertruck is built with an exterior shell made for ultimate durability and passenger protection. Starting with a nearly impenetrable exoskeleton, every component is designed for superior strength and endurance, from Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled stainless-steel structural skin to Tesla armor glass.
ULTRA-HARD 30X COLD-ROLLED STAINLESS STEEL
If there was something better, we’d use it. Help eliminate dents, damage and long-term corrosion with a smooth monochrome exoskeleton that puts the shell on the outside of the car and provides you and your passengers maximum protection.
TESLA ARMOR GLASS
Ultra-strong glass and polymer-layered composite can absorb and redirect impact force for improved performance and damage tolerance.
VERSATILE UTILITY
With up to 3,500 pounds of payload capacity and adjustable air suspension, Cybertruck is the most powerful tool we have ever built, engineered with 100 cubic feet of exterior, lockable storage — including a magic tonneau cover that is strong enough to stand on.
VAULT-LIKE STORAGE
Space for your toolbox, tire and Cyberquad, with room to spare. Utilize 100 cubic feet of exterior, lockable storage — including the under-bed, frunk and sail pillars.
RUGGED STRENGTH
With the ability to pull near infinite mass and a towing capability of over 14,000 pounds, Cybertruck can perform in almost any extreme situation with ease.
ADAPTIVE AIR SUSPENSION
Raise and lower suspension four inches in either direction for easy access to Cybertruck or the vault, while self-leveling capabilities adapt to any occasion and assist with every job.
FLEXIBLE INTERIOR
Seat six comfortably with additional storage under the second-row seats. Complete with an advanced 17” touchscreen with an all-new customized user interface.
