All-New MINI Aceman Arrives With All-Electric Drivetrain
A new MINI Aceman arrives in time for the electric age.
MINI has been on a product offensive as the electric age unfolds. We got a new EV-focused Cooper and an EV-focused Countryman and now the third in the family, the Aceman, arrives.
The progressive MINI Aceman is an all-electric crossover that packs impressive space and capabilities into its 4.07-meter length. With seating for five and a versatile cargo area, the Aceman bridges the gap between Cooper and Countryman with rugged SUV-inspired styling and compact dimensions. Boot space is rated at 300L and can be expanded to 1005L with the rear seats folded.
Exterior Design: Expressive Styling and Compact Proportions
The MINI Aceman’s exterior exudes agility and self-assurance. Its streamlined front, short overhangs, and two-box design showcase the brand’s “Clever Use of Space” principle. Continuous surfaces highlight the expressive colors, while robust styling cues like roof rails and underride protection emphasize its adventurous character. The modern front features striking LED headlights and an octagonal grille that’s both a fresh take and an homage to MINI’s heritage.
The Aceman’s eye-catching design extends to its muscular body styling with taut surfaces, precise lines, and dynamic contours. The distinctive wheel arches, flush door handles, and elongated roof spoiler further its athletic stance.
Interior: Minimalist Luxury with Innovative Digital Experiences
Inside, the MINI Aceman exemplifies “Charismatic Simplicity” with its reduced, contemporary design. The bright cockpit offers ample space and an open feel, enhanced by a panoramic glass roof. Sustainable materials like knitted recycled polyester blend style and sustainability.
At the center is an innovative 9.5-inch circular OLED display powered by the MINI Operating System 9 for intuitive touch and voice controls. The immersive MINI Experience Modes use projections and ambient lighting to transform the cabin’s ambiance based on selections like Personal Mode or Go-Kart Mode.
The classic MINI toggle bar gets a modern makeover, providing direct access to key driving functions alongside practical storage solutions.
Performance: Efficient Electric Power and Agile Handling
The MINI Aceman is available solely with electric drivetrains for locally emission-free mobility. The Aceman E produces 184 hp and 290 Nm of torque for a 0-100 km/h time of 7.9 seconds and 310 km of range (WLTP). The upgraded Aceman SE makes 218 hp, 330 Nm, sprints to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds, and has up to 406 km range with a 42.5 kWh or 54.2 kWh battery pack size.
With a sporty chassis, precise steering, and customizable MINI Experience drive modes, the Aceman promises outstanding driving dynamics and the brand’s signature go-kart feeling. Charging is easy via 11 kW AC or up to 95 kW DC fast charging which takes the battery from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes.
Advanced Driver Assistance and Digital Services
The MINI Aceman offers a comprehensive suite of advanced driver aids like the Driving Assistant Plus system with lane keep assist and Parking Assistant Pro with remote parking. The new “Hey MINI!” voice assistant enables intuitive voice controls.
The MINI Digital Key Plus allows using a smartphone as a digital key, while the MINI Connected Store provides access to a variety of digital services and entertainment.
