Next year, the 2020 Toyota Yaris is going to refer to 3 entirely different vehicles. A 2020 Toyota Yaris could either be a US-market Yaris that’s based on the Mazda2, the Vios Ativ-based Yaris facelift that we get in Malaysia or the JDM/European market 2020 Toyota Yaris that everyone’s fawning over. And here’s a piece of potentially good news if you’re already paying attention to that last 2020 Yaris: a performance variant of by Gazoo Racing has been developed, as has a TRD bodykit for the standard variant.
This report first surfaced in late October, right after the public reveal of the 2020 JDM Toyota Yaris, but an official list of parts only appeared on the official website on the 19th of December 2019.

As far as we can tell, these parts will only be available in Japan. Perhaps when Toyota start offering the car in other markets, they’ll consider exporting these TRD parts as well.
Strangely enough, the TRD parts don’t dress this standard Yaris up to look anything like the actual performance-oriented Yaris GR. Well, except for the wheels. Here’s what the parts look like up close.
