10th Generation Honda Accord Turbo Open for Bookings!
After a rather quiet 2019, Honda Malaysia are starting 2020 by opening bookings for their 10th generation Honda Accord. This new Accord comes with the 1.5-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine seen in the latest Civic and CR-V, but with some enhancements. the 1.5L VTEC Turbo engine outputs 201PS and 260Nm, which is more than the outgoing 2.4L i-VTEC engine could do.
Honda gave no solid launch date, but indicated that the car would be in showrooms by Q1 2020, meaning the launch will probably be before April 2020.
Trim levels were not announced, but here’s what equipment will come on the Malaysian 10th generation Accord:
- full LED headlights and taillights
- Twin Tailpipe Chrome Finisher
- 18” Alloy Wheels with Resonator
- Full Honda Sensing suite

Honda Malaysia (or the Company) today announced that the Honda flagship model, the All-New Accord is now open for booking at all 100 Honda dealerships nationwide. This 10th Generation Accord is set to be launched in Malaysia in Q1 2020 and will be lifting the benchmark in its segment as a Next Generation executive sedan.
The Accord was first introduced to the world in 1976 as Honda’s second global model. It is known for its premium appeal and styling that has earned its fame globally. Positioned as an executive sedan in Malaysia, the Accord was first launched in 2001 and became a highly sought-after model with more than 84,100 units sold to-date. The model continued to raise the standards in the D-segment with the launch of 9th Generation Accord in 2013, which impressively overall sold more than 32,500 units and maintained its position as the market leader. In 2017, Honda Malaysia introduced the Next Generation Advanced Safety feature, Honda SENSING in the 9th Generation Accord which further redefined the premium features
in its class.
The 10th Generation Accord has a revolutionary design incorporating fastback styling. This has redefined the segment and made it more appealing to the market while maintaining the Accord’s DNA of sophistication. Its new exterior design comes with sharp and stylish full LED headlights and taillights that further uplifts the premium design expression. Meanwhile, its wider stance is coupled with lower hood as well as lower and longer roofline to achieve greater dynamic presence. Adding to its overall premium exterior is the Twin Tailpipe Chrome Finisher
and uniquely Honda 18” Alloy Wheels with Resonator.
Performance-wise, the All-New Accord is powered by an enhanced 1.5L VTEC Turbocharged engine, which is a first for the flagship model. It offers maximum power output of 201PS and maximum torque of 260Nm, which is more powerful than a 2.4L engine performance. The enhanced Turbocharged engine gives more efficient power distribution and improved fuel efficiency. The high-performance Turbocharged engine is engineered to provide unbeatable driving performance with joy and true satisfaction.
This expansion of the Next Generation Advanced Technology offered also sees Honda adding advanced safety features that will raise the bar in the D-segment. The 10th Generation Accord comes with the full-suite of Honda SENSING that has three categories and eight features:
