UMW Toyota RAV4 Brochure Leaked, Malaysian Spec Info
The Toyota RAV4 is one of the most highly anticipated vehicles for the Malaysian market this year. We’ve been speculating which engine would be brought in and what equipment it would come with. Now we have those answers as a localised brochure has been leaked.
The front cover shows indications that this is indeed the Malaysian specifications. Bahasa Malaysia taglines, “Kehidupan Tanpa Batasan” and “Kebebasan Tersendiri” as well as the “toyota.com.my” written in the upper right corner are giveaways.
The second page highlights the TNGA platform and its Trailing Wishbone rear suspension.
The following page shows some equipment on the top-of-the-line variant. This includes a 2.5L Dynamic Force engine paired to 8-speed Direct Shift conventional automatic. Paddle shifters and a Drive Mode selector is standard on the Malaysian-spec RAV4.
The most important page near the end shows that there are 2 variants to be offered here. The top spec, as we mentioned above, comes with a 2.5-litre and 8-speed conventional automatic while the lower spec comes with a 2.0-litre and a CVT with Sequential Shiftmatic to make use of those paddleshifters. Both are Dynamic Force engines and both are only offered in front-wheel drive. What’s more, both have the same exact equipment specification.
